Why Nintendo Labo Worries me

I think by now all of you are familiar with Nintendo Labo. If not, Nintendo Labo are essentially card board add ons for the Nintendo Switch and it’s joycons. It is a lot cooler than I am making it out to be, here is the trailer if you haven’t seen it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3Bd3HUMkyU. As cool as it seems, I am a bit worried about it. Why? Well, let me tell you.

Us Nintendo fans know that the Switch can appeal to hard core and casual gamers, but if someone were to see Nintendo Labo marketing all over the Switch isle they could be ashamed to buy a Nintendo Switch because Labo is targeted towards kids. If I was some gamer who was walking by the Switch isle, Nintendo Labo would make me believe that the Switch is some kids device and nothing more. I could be completely wrong and there could be nothing to get worried about, but there are other reasons why I’m worried.

How long is someone going to use a Nintendo Labo set? After you built it and played the game for a few minutes, would there be any reason to come back to the Labo? Will parents be willing to pay for replacement cardboard? Is Nintendo Labo too expensive? Will kids find Labo as appealing or fun to build as LEGOs? Is 2 hours for building the Piano toycon too long? Those are just some of my other concerns.

Let me say I do not think Labo will fail, I just have a few concerns. What do you guys and girls think? Are you concerned for Labo for the same reasons as me? Please let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you guys next time!
